Terms
How working with Omega Studio works, in plain language: fixed quotes, a named date, you own everything you pay for, and no surprise charges.
Using this site
By browsing omegastudio.dev or sending us a project inquiry, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language on purpose. If we sign a separate project agreement with you, that agreement takes precedence where the two differ.
What we do
Omega Studio designs and builds websites, web applications, and connected systems, and offers ongoing care plans. The exact deliverables, scope, price, and timeline for your project are set out in a written quote we send before any work begins.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on the site are starting points and typical ranges, not final quotes. Your fixed price is the one in your written quote, and it does not move unless the scope changes. The estimator gives a band; we narrow it to a single number after a short scoping call.
Payment
Unless your quote says otherwise, we ask for a deposit to reserve your start date and the balance on delivery. Larger engagements may be split into milestones. Care plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at the end of any month. Invoices are due on the terms stated on them.
Timelines
We commit to a launch date in your quote and we hold to it. That date assumes you provide content, access, and feedback on the agreed schedule. If those slip, the date may move by the same amount, and we will tell you as soon as we see it coming.
Revisions and scope changes
Your quote defines what is included, with room for normal rounds of feedback. Genuinely new work, beyond the agreed scope, is quoted in writing before we start it. There are no surprise charges.
What we need from you
You are responsible for the content and assets you give us, and for having the right to use them. You agree to review work and give feedback within a reasonable time so the project keeps moving.
Ownership
When your project is paid for in full, you own the work we made for you: the code, the designs, and the content we produced. You also own the accounts and the repository from day one. Third-party components keep their own licenses, and we keep the right to our general know-how and reusable tools.
Showing your project
We may display completed work in our portfolio and case studies, including a screenshot and a short description, unless you ask us in writing not to. If a project is under an NDA, it stays private.
Third-party services and ongoing costs
Projects often rely on services like hosting, domains, and email. Where these carry ongoing fees, those are yours to maintain. We will tell you about them up front and set them up in accounts you control.
Warranty and maintenance
Every build ships at a 90 plus Lighthouse score and we fix genuine defects in the delivered scope at no charge for 30 days after launch. Beyond that, ongoing updates, monitoring, and changes are covered by a care plan or quoted separately. The site is provided as is for anything outside that.
Limitation of liability
We do careful work, but to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending an engagement
Either side can end a project in writing. If you end it partway, you pay for the work completed to that point and you keep what has been delivered and paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Omega Studio is established, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there.
